Skip Fortier, Vice President of Network Expansion for Avoya Travel has been in the travel industry for over 30 years. He is a Navy Veteran and has worked in sales for United Airlines and the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas. For 10 years Fortier managed sales forces at The Cruise Web and MacNair Travel American Express. He has been part of the Avoya family for over 17 years, working as an Independent Agency Owner for four years. As an Independent Affiliate for Avoya he received Best of the Best Agency Award in 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011. Named one of the Top 25 Travel Agents in the US in 2011 by Travel Agent Magazine. Fortier sold his agency in 2011 and has run the Network Expansion efforts for Avoya since 2012. He represents Avoya Travel on the ASTA Corporate Advisory Council, a member of the ASTA IC Committee and actively takes part in ASTA including the ASTA Global Convention, Legislation Day, River Cruise Summit and the Business Summit. I am on the Board of Directors for PATH, Professional Association of Travel Hosts. I currently am the Co-Chair of the CLIA Starboard Committee
