About me
Paola Robinson is a member of the pre-opening team for Salterra, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, opening in South Caicos, Turks & Caicos Islands.
Almost 20 years ago, in January 2006 Paola transferred from The Ritz-Carlton, in Mexico, to become an instrumental cog for the recently opened then, The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman; she was the point of contact for the luxury consortia partners, and wholesale accounts on Seven Mile Beach (similar to the role she hosted in Cancun from 2003).
In 2016, Paola joined the pre-opening team of Kimpton Seafire Resort + Spa, a AAA 5 Diamond and a Forbes 5 STARS in the Cayman Islands; she hosted luxury travel advisors on Seven Mile Beach until October 2020.
During the pandemic, Paola helped launched the inaugural Queen’s Gambit tournament in partnership with the Cayman Islands Chess Federation – one of first approaches to increase the number of women playing in the sport. Proudly, such Federation has now competed internationally and from afar Paola cheers them up, most recently at the Chess Olympiad, in Budapest, Hungary – where she now has family herself.
Fun facts about Paola:
Paola was born in Costa Rica, spent most of her childhood in the South of Mexico (Yucatan peninsula), she made Cayman home 19 years ago and has now become a British Citizen.
