Carlos Martinez, known to his peers and friends as Charlie, is a dedicated professional in travel, tourism, and MICE. With over 20 years in the industry—10 of them at Xcaret—his career has been shaped by passion, continuous growth, and a drive for new challenges.
He began at Xcaret in the Customer Care team for the E-Business department, refining his guest relations skills before moving into Meetings & Events Sales. Over six years in this role, he mastered event coordination and strategic sales, earning his Certified Meeting Specialist certification. Always eager to grow, he advanced to the Xcaret BDM team, initially overseeing the Northeast and Midwest USA. His expertise and commitment soon led to an expanded role covering Canada and, most recently, Western Europe—a testament to his adaptability and leadership in the global travel market.
Charlie is a dynamic and forward-thinking leader who values strong partnerships, outstanding service, and inspiring others to explore the world. Whether working with travel professionals or experiencing new cultures, he brings energy, expertise, and a personal touch to everything he does.
